Introduction

"Hi Namaste, sir/madam, am I speaking to Madhav or his parents ? This is Mohan, Education counsellor calling you rom Byjus. There has been a statement mentioned that there was a download of byjus application in the name of madhav on this number with email ID madhav_06@gmail.com.

So Mr Muralidhar, did you download the app or was it downloaded by madhav?

Mr. Muralidhar ji, are you aware of Byju's ?

[Based on the response to this question we should give them a brief idea about Byju's]

As you have seen from past three years an advertisement of kichha sudeep sir and specially the brand ambassador shahrukh khan's advertisement which you will be seen once in a while, Byju's is the world's largest edtech platform. where students starting from 4th to 10th cover K10 classes and for LKG UKG and 1st ,2nd and 3rd we have Byju's early learn with BTLP mandatory i.e, (Byjus Tablet learning Platform) to learn conceptual subjects through interactive video lessons by the best techers all over india.

Mr. Muralidhar when you download this application you are assigned with an education counsellor. As an education counsellor our role is to discuss the child's performance in case of app and how she/he can get the right assistance to this.

     RAPPORT BUILDING

"So Mr. Muralidhar, apart from the school activities what you seen in Madhav's studies over the last two years? "

How is madhav studying these days?

has the school reopened or the classes are being conducted online?

"Which school does he go to?

and what do you feel about his academics in last 2 years? as kids have mostly been at home or for 4h to 6th standard they have lot of pressures from online classes in which doubts are not discussed earlier which they cant get complete coaching and while in exam they get exam phobias.

[The responses to these questions and conversations would give you an understanding about the current issues faced by both the parents and child in current real-time scenarios.]

[If the child Picks up the call, tell him that he has been doing the good job in learning with the application of byju's guide him the best way and ask him to handover the call to his parents so you can convey it the same points.]

Insights For our reerence

1. Covid has had a huge impact on students studies over the last two years. Majority of the students are facing difficulties with fundamentally conceptual subjects like mathematics and science which causes even the learning gap.

2. Concepts of grade 7th are similar to grade 9th and grade 11th. For a child to completely understand the concepts of grade 11th he should have a strong understanding about the basic concepts from grade 7th.

3. concepts in the last grades become tough if the basics are not clear.

   NEED GENERATION FOR THE SESSION 

Opening the statement for need generation.

Mr. Muralidhar, After a lot of interactions with a number of parents and students as a counsellor I came to understand that covid has had a huge impact of deaths and it had taken a slight demotivation on students studies also.

over the last 2 years, largely it had took away the understanding of Maths and science subjects. And the majority of parents and child especially are making their life with contraversial activity with this problem.

we could all agreed to the last 2 years that students have not been able to study and understand concepts properly.

It might get distracted when they do self study during those days and they where not having much confidences about the studying with online tutors.

For example the child who is learning new concepts and theorems basically they keep only basic stuffs and many of them might have diverted with classroom teaching in schools and also in colleges. And they cant understand wordings and vocabularies easily as of nownew chapters and grades would panic their studies. and even the online classes get disturbed  while many are screaming it.

During Pandemic they where showing and sending youtube links to get solvable for their doubts in online classroom sessions.

This shows the two way interactions was unnecessary these days where we had suffered from covid cases.

But the Byjus classes have made possible in understanding the concepts very easily As they keep their community to understand about all the doubts of students.

As they get one- on - one hands on sessions with two way teaching experiences and also gave a very good skill in bringing key answers to the doubt solving sessions held over by our mentors.

Although it had online live classes, It had graphics and 3d animations and also navigation in class experiences with best teachers who are also bringing them a good education system.

     PITCHING THE SESSION

Before Pitching the session you would made a parents realize 3 things.

1. How Covid has impacted the child's last two years.

2. How a learning gap would have formed.

3. How the extent of the gap has to be found out and what are the correct measure and needs to be taken.

You can educate the parents about the fact that you would be addressing all the above mentioned areas and concerns of the child.

Dialogue - "Mr. Muralidhar as per our conversation till now, we understood that Madhav faces certain challenges is regarding with respect to the student.

We at byjus have recently come up with a new two teacher model in which India's best teachers teach the concepts through visualization and relatable methods of the teaching and the 2nd teacher takes care of all doubts through personal attention in a LIVE virtual classes. Its a 360 degree learning process that would help the child to take care of several issues that we discussed earlier.

I would love to have a detailed discussion about all of the challenges to get solved which are faced by Madhav But in order for correct understanding of classes and learning approach in detail. We as education counsellors have a choice to select some students who are able to solve few questions out of every allotted students in their diagnostic test. An dits just a small Quiz in which basics are get understood and tested for the scholarship for the child. I'll see with what Madhav has undergone with his diagnostic test and will meet him in zoom VC sessions while we do counselling.

After this session of counselling of 1 hour (45 minutes) nearly it takes maximum one hour which we have to schedule for every selected child.

The counselling session will consist of 3 major parts.

1. First and fore mostly we will understand the child's approach who uses in studies. The counsellor with both parent and child to understand the child's performance we will also involve in attending with child's school performances, improvement areas and future ambitions. We wish to get shared about the sport activities and also child's academic performances and also apart from that we check about other career hobbies like Music, Dance and also sportive memories of him.

2. Then soon after the meeting gets over. we will be conducting a diagnostic test. To evaluate child's learning gaps and to be able to suggest the child's key areas of improvement.

This would include concepts of science and maths from previous classes that madhav has studied.

A report card would be provided soon after the generation of test marks. It  could have complete analysis of Madhav's studies and learning gaps. Apart from that madhav will not face any issues in upcoming grades.

[We would also be giving detailed feedback on the areas of improvement and suggestions on on how the child can improve easily]

Finally based on diagnostic test report we would measure some of the required areas of methodologies and innovative things to make conceptual learning in case of Byjus courses.

This session will also give a chance for madhav to earn a scholarship of offer according to the report card of Madhav's diagnostic test.
